Dori was brought to our shelter in an unusual way without documentation and without following the required legal procedures. According to the information we received, he had been taken from the wild and offered for sale on social media. We immediately reported the case to the police and other relevant authorities in both Kosovo and Albania.

Since then, Dori has been under the constant care of our experienced team. FOUR PAWS also explored the possibility of rehabilitating and releasing him back into the wild, but due to his prolonged contact with humans, this was no longer possible.

Dori’s case highlights the serious consequences of wildlife trafficking depriving animals of their freedom in the wild and creating dangerous situations for people as well.
