Born in 2019 in the Sharr region, he was rescued in June of the same year.
From everything we know about bears that have been taken from the wild, we can safely say that a bear would never abandon its cub and if it could, it would risk its own life to protect it. Therefore, an unusual and serious event must have happened to his mother before Andri was found alone near a mountain road in Sharr, when he was less than a month old.

The management authorities of Sharr National Park tried to reunite Andri with his mother, but without success. It was then decided that the best place for him to be sheltered was the BEAR SANCTUARY Prishtina.

Here, he has the opportunity to grow up and live under professional care, in an environment that closely resembles the natural habitat of wild bears. Now Andri shares his enclosure with bear Lena.
